Castelbottaccio is a small traditional hilltop village where life continues at an unhurried pace. Wander its narrow streets, stop for a coffee at the bar, enjoy the views across the Biferno valley and experience everyday Italian village life far removed from the usual tourist trail.
Head for the coast
The Adriatic coast makes an easy day out from Porta Verde. Explore the colourful old town of Termoli, walk along the seafront, relax on its sandy beaches and enjoy freshly caught seafood overlooking the sea. It’s a wonderful contrast to the quiet hills and villages of inland Molise.
